DALTON GORE, COTA/L
Pediatric Occupational Therapist Assistant

I am a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), graduated from Nashville State Community College May of 2020. I began my pediatric career at Little Hands Little Feet Pediatric Therapies in Cookeville TN in 2020 where I completed my Level II Fieldwork and began working shortly after on a limited license before taking my boards. I also worked at Cookeville Regional Medical Center allowing me to work with both pediatric and geriatric populations. I became interested in occupational therapy after I became close to a high school classmate who was born with Down Syndrome and got to meet his therapist and see what a difference they made in his daily life and how fun the job looked. One of my favorite moments as a pediatric therapist is watching a child’s face as they complete a skill or task that they have not been able to do in the past.

I have extensive training in the Handwriting Without Tears program, Sensory Integration Techniques, as well as Feeding Therapy from my time as a Level II fieldwork student and licensed therapist. I will be moving to Johnson City in August with my wife Alahna, who will begin pharmacy school at ETSU in the fall. When I am not in the woods hunting, me and my wife enjoy spending time with our Aussiedoodle Bo-Henry.
