Speech Language Pathologist

Kelly is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist with 13 years of clinical experience. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Radford University and a Master of Science in Education degree from Old Dominion University. Kelly spent the first five years of her career at an outpatient clinic where she worked primarily with the pediatric population. During that time, she helped develop a social skills group for children with autism spectrum disorders and a parent support group for parents of children with special needs. For the past eight years, Kelly has provided Early Intervention and school-based services. She has experience evaluating and treating children with a variety of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorders, language delays and disorders, auditory processing disorders, hearing impairments, sensory processing disorders, feeding difficulties, global developmental delays, oral-motor difficulties, traumatic brain injuries, motor speech disorders, emotional/behavioral disorders, and augmentative-alternative communication (AAC) needs. Kelly has specific training in Early Intervention Coaching, DIR Floortime, and complex Pediatric feeding disorders. She is currently completing training to assess and treat children with selective mutism. Kelly understands the challenges parents face when raising children with special needs and is committed to helping these families feel confident and supported.
