Pediatric Speech Therapist
Melinda is a pediatric speech language pathologist, who holds a Master of Science degree in Speech Pathology (Radford University – 1999). Melinda holds her CCCs and is a certified member of American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She also holds her license in Speech- Language Pathology from the Virginia Board of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology. Melinda has worked in the public school system for 18 years, where she has worked with children from ages 2-22, most recently specializing in the preschool population. She has experience in Early Intervention and outpatient settings, as well. Melinda can provide speech services for evaluation and treatment across a wide array of diagnoses, including: Articulation Impairment, Phonological Processing Disorder, Motor Speech Disorder, Expressive and/or Receptive Language Impairment, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Hearing Impairment, Cognitive Communication Impairment. She also has experience in providing services for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Feeding.
