Pediatric Occupational Therapist Assistant

Taryn is a pediatric occupational therapist assistant that has newly graduated into the field of occupational therapy. She is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association. She received her Associates of Science degree in Occupational Therapy in May 2014 from Southwest Virginia Community College. Taryn is currently completing a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from King University. Combining the knowledge and skills from both sciences, she strives to provide effective and individualized therapy, with an emphasis on creating therapeutic relationships with children and their families. After completing an internship in the pediatric school setting, Taryn recognized her passion for working with children of all ages. She fulfilled her passion immediately after graduation and began her career providing therapy services in a variety of pediatric settings. Her experience ranges from early childhood to 18 years of age, with a multitude of diagnoses including: Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Fine Motor Delay, ADHD, and Developmental Delays.
